Ingredients for 4 people:

-25 grams of parmesan (can be replaced with any Lithuanian hard cheese)

Cooking:
1 stage. Wash the basil leaves and dry them on a towel, leaf by leaf.

Stage 2. Place the basil in a blender or marble mortar, add garlic and pine nuts, rub the ingredients at low speed.

Stage 3. Add cheese, olive oil, salt and mix the pesto sauce again at low speed until you get a homogeneous mixture.

Storage:
Put the sauce in a jar, cover with a small amount of olive oil and plastic film. This way you can store the sauce in the fridge for a few days.
Or you can put the pesto in a pre-sterilized jar, pouring the sauce on top of a layer of olive oil. This will allow you to enjoy pesto sauce in winter, without spoiling the product.
You can also freeze the sauce in small jars so that it can be stored for several months.
